Spring Cleaning- Week 1, Entry Area

I decided that besides running and doing P90X, I should spend some time spring cleaning. I am entering Sarah @ beautiful2God's challenge: Spring Cleaning. Each week she has a different area to focus on.

This week is the Entry Area! First thing first, here are the before pictures:

I think my entry way is sort of boring. The stair railing always becomes a place for coats instead of the closet. And the closet is packed full of coats we don't need. And shoes are just thrown in there. Thankfully, my handy husband replaced the track on the closet door last weekend, so I am one step ahead of the gang in fixing what needs fixing. Besides just making it better, and I am really going to concentrate on cleaning the floor and wiping the walls down - hey, I might even paint!

And Friday, I will post the after pictures.

How does your entry way look? Is it inviting - after all, this is the first place guests see? Want to join us? Check out beautiful2God's challenge.

This is a great idea - taking one area at a time and cleaning/sprucing it up!

Can't wait to see your "after" picture-have fun!

The entry is always the catch-all, isn't it? Ours definitely is!

Thanks for linking up!

Good luck! I hopped over here from Sarah's blog to wish you well in the spring cleaning. I'm joining up, too, but don't have pics up yet. My entry way can barely be considered an entry way...

I'm following you now and hope we both see progress in our homes. Have a great week.

I hate that stair rails become coat racks! I am ready to put away the coats....come on spring!
