Two more Training Sessions... that's it!

Lyle and I signed on for 12 training sessions with Benny and on Tuesday, we finished our 10th session. That means we only have 2 more left. This Saturday (if the snow holds off enough) and the follow Tuesday, Feb. 2nd. I started to get a little nervous last night, and when I get nervous, I do 2 things:

1. Pray
2. Make a plan (hopefully God-insired)

The first thing is often easier than the second one, but sometimes I just do not pray for the things I really need answers to because... I am afraid of the answer. I know, it is silly... but what if it is something that I can't do ("I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13) or what if the plan doesn't work ("...For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future." Jeremiah 29:11).

The bible has answers to all of my fears. But the one fear that hasn't haunted me this year (2010) is: Gaining the weight back! I am thankful that Jesus has taken this fear from me. I am living for today because tomorrow is not promised to me! That means no time to worry!

The Plan:

Since I purchased P90X in July, I did it regularly until school started and then about only twice a week. But in order for this program to work, you have to be consistent and do the workouts... everyday. So, that is out plan. We will do the workouts together when Lyle gets home from work (prior to dinner - because I cannot move after I eat). And with the plan, we will be taking our pictures to post the results.

On a side note: I have to confess that taking the Getting Fit Challenge with my husband has really brought us closer. I am so thankful that God showed us a way to get to know each other even more after 8 1/2 years of being married. Lyle encourages me, motivates me, and even massages my sore muscles after our hard workouts! I love him more every day!!!

Have any of you tried P90X? Also, with the weather warming up, I will be able to log more miles outside - I am just not a treadmill runner.

Do you have "getting fit" goals for 2010? I would love to hear from you.

Lots of goals! I have a 30 by 30 goal, 30lbs by my 30th birthday. After seeing your story, I am more confident I can do it!

Sounds like the training has been great! My goals are to move more, eat less and to make the time to exercise!
