So, it has been a theme lately... not checking in. Well, I am going to try and do better.
I wanted to write because I started P90X three days ago (for the second time - I was doing it and training for an 8K and my body ached... so I stopped the P90X, but then the weather turned a little moist, which makes my knees ache - so I stopped the running and restarted P90X - now that was a mouthful).
Have you hear of P90X? It is Tony Horton's 12 extreme workouts use the science of "Muscle Confusion" to get you absolutely ripped in 90 days. I am sure you have seen the info-mercials... well, so far I really like it.
This morning, I even got up at 4:30 to do Day 3. There are three versions that you can do: Classic, Doubles and Lean. I decided to do the Lean version which should take me into the Christmas holidays. After the new year begins, I plan to either do the Classic or the Doubles version. I think the Lean version will keep the weight off that I lost and help tone more. So when I get "ripped" in the new year when I do the Classic or Doubles version... I will know it is all worth it.
Today's workout was Shoulders & Arms and then Ab Ripper X. The key thing about P90X is you need at least an hour and today was about an hour and fifteen minutes. The DVDs also include warm-ups and cool downs.
Tomorrow I do Yoga X - which is an extreme Yoga program... I am not too excited, but know it will all be worth it.
Check back as I keep you updated. And I think for accountability, I am going to post a pic of me so you can see the before and after. Thanks for joining me on my jounrney and be sure to share your journey with me.
