1. My men: This picture was from my birthday dinner. Brock wore is pink shirt for the second time (first time kids at school made fun of him) because: "I know how much you like this outfit, mommy!" Super sweet boy. He gives the best hugs and kisses and his laugh is contagious.
Lyle - a husband who truly does love me unconditionally. He "allows" me to train and race all of the time. Actually has only said "no" to one thing I wanted to do which was a century on my birthday. He is generous and quiet and witty.
2. Kiera - Where to begin with my baby? I never go without hugs and kisses when she is around. She loves to cling to me and talk my ear off about virtually.... ANYTHING! She is a great artist and enjoys playing the piano. Great second mother to Brock and a great friend. She can look through you and see the good in people and is always willing to help someone in need.
3. Twin Sister - best of friends, worst enemies.... seriously my sister, Janet is always there when I need an ear. She doesn't always agree with me... actually rarely does, but our unique history as twins makes her my go-to person for an ear. Sometimes, we call each other up, just to vent, just to make sure we aren't completely insane. I love her and I am super excited to announce that she has been getting back into running too! I see a race in our future together... and more than likely, just like high school, she will kick me butt!
4. Friends. Old ones.... new ones.... REAL friends stick by you. Real friends appreciate you. Real friends allow you to be completely obsessed and love you just the same. I am blessed to finally have some real friends in my life. Many of those who I consider real friends are you followers out there who leave such encouraging comments to me. I hope to make you more real by meeting you someday!
5. Training partners - sometimes you don't realize what you have until it is gone. It is strange to find someone to be with you when you are at your stinkiest, rawest, down right... beaten up. Partners who really get you, who understand why you do this to yourself. Partners that are there for you no matter what! Who hug your sweaty, stinky body when you PR. Who hold you when you fail and cry with you. Those of you who still have partners, don't take them for granted. Cherish the time you have together. We never know where life takes us... hopefully all to the finish line!
What are you thankful for today?

Today I am thankful for my fiance. He is calm, patient, understanding, and confident. He has been the one person who constantly reminds me that everything happens for a reason.
