In case you did not know, Athena is the Greek goddess of wisdom, war, the arts, industry, justice and skill. She was the favorite child of Zeus. She had sprung fully grown out of her father's head.
I chose Athena, actually it just came to me on my ride yesterday, because she was strong and was not born out of normal circumstances like my desire to compete in Triathlons. Zeus was basically jealous and thought his first wife was going to bear a son and this son would be greater than Zeus. So when she became a fly, he ate her (yeah, pretty funny!) But since his wife was pregnant already, Athena was born "inside" Zeus and gave him headaches, until finally his head was cut open and Athena emerged.
I am a RUNNER, part time SWIMMER, but never in my wildest dreams did I think I would become a cyclist. So I have to trust Athena. I have to allow her wisdom to guide me. Being the goddess of war fits too because I am competitive and WANT to be competitive on the her... someday. And like the ride, it just felt right!
And as I mentioned yesterday, I am still slightly sore in my lady parts from my ride. Of course I wore bike shorts with gel padding and I wore tights underneath those since it was cold. I think it has a lot to do with the way I sit on the bike.... but I was wondering:
Does BodyGlide really work on lady parts or is there something else?
