43 miles running
29 miles cycling
0 swimming (had planned one day and it did not work out)
But 43 miles running is still a lot of running. And I did 43 miles in 5 days. CRAZY!
And this is what I look like when I run outside. Equally CRAZY! And I only HATE running in the cold for the first 5 minutes. After that I am warm, almost hot. I ALWAYS shed my gloves. This particular night, it was raining - actually it was freezing rain and we had planned to run 3 miles and then do hills. The hill ended up being frozen, so we had to watch our step and concentrate on our form. Proved to be a great workout and I got to reconnect with Bob.
I did some running on the dreaded Mill this week too. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I think I actually went the farthest ever - 6.2 miles. Those of you who run miles and miles on the Mill, I am NOT sure how you do it.
And I finally got the trainer to work - correctly. It is noisy, but it was FREE - on loan actually. I'll take the noise to save money. The kids really get a kick out of my on it. Kiera snapped this picture from the other night. No, I don't ride with my shades on but she thought I was cool with them on. I am still not used to riding the bike... meaning my bum and lady parts still hurt, but I guess I will get used to it. I did not have my bike shorts on (the ones with padding), but I think I will make that a rule in the future.
And this is what Dolce does while I am riding... when she isn't barking at it.
This morning, I got in a 1800 meter swim. I had debated last time if I really swam that far, so this time I wore my Garmin and every 50, I hit lap... sure enough, I did 36 of them in 37 minutes. I was feeling really good. My breathing was down and it felt effortless. My average 50m time was 1:06, not good... but at least I have something to compete against now.
How did your training go last week?

I love how the miles pile up so quickly with the cycling. And you can see so much more by covering so many miles! But on top of that 43 miles is nothing to scoff at!
have you invested in a women specific saddle for the bike? helps the lady parts in particular.
:-)
Wow, way to go on your miles for the week! Keep up the great work.
Good job!
Yup - I love my bike trainer. Actually that is on the agenda for tomorrow morning. I am trying to increase my mileage - but with the snow it is hard. Today we had about 4 inches of snow - so will probably stay inside tomorrow and do the bike.
that is a lot of running!!! wow!!!
love your dog!!!
Need to get on my bike a bit in the next couple of weeks. I have a 110km race in March. might get time on Sunday at I'm running a 36km race (training run) on Saturday.
Your swimming is great I get bored after 500m.
You look warm in your running clothes.
Good job that's a lot of miles!!
Your dog looks cute!
What a great post!! I am loving your blog, praise God for your stepping out!
Rackin' up the miles! WTG!
Padded shorts... yes! And Dolce is adorable!
ive found that ive had to ditch my skirt on the bike, even though the brief seems negligible, even that small ridge makes my lady bits uncomfortable, even through my padded shorts. i do miss my skirts while biking though to cover up my rear.
I am afraid to wear my Garmin in the pool. I am going to wait a couple of weeks and see if yours is still working. ;).
(My experience is that the first three rides hurt....then it is ok.)
WOW! 43 miles in 5 days. Good job. Keep pressing on!
if I tried to run in that get up, I would burn to a chocolaty crisp..lol...
Nice training week.
I love the skirt on the bike.
Love that the dog is your personal trainer, lol!
