Last night, Bob met me at my driveway at 8pm. I was ready, but I was tired. It was Day 1 of the deck rebuild. My father and I with a help of auger, dug 6 holes and removed the dirt. Three holes we 28 inches deep and three were 3 feet deep. I was covered in mud and my arms and hands were in pain. But since my legs were not sore, I decided to run with Bob anyway.
We have had incredible cool temps for Maryland at the end of June. It was actually 59 degrees the last night. PEEERRRRFECT running conditions. My marathon training plan called for 5 miles, but we were feeling good. We actually ran 6.7 miles in 1:10. It seemed like forever since Bob and I had run together, but it was only last Saturday. I think we both were feeling better. It was a nice run.
Bob reads my blog sometimes... and he suggested that "You are no longer a girl who is losing weight. You are a runner. Tell the world who you are a runner now."
You see, I have had a hard time transitioning from prior fat girl to a runner. Not just a runner, but a runner training for a marathon. I had to think about that, pray about it, and I have decided that being over weight was like any other thing in my past. It doesn't define me. The journey to being fit was awesome but I am not trying to lose any more weight - 130 is a good weight for me. I know it fluctuates, but that is OKAY. I am a runner... I have reduced the weight and will not go back! After all, I have run 678 miles since January.
I will be making some changes to my blog to accentuate that I am a runner and that I am training for a marathon.
Don't worry, I am still happy to help anyone who is willing by answering questions about my weight loss or by offering suggestions. I will just focus more on my running. I appreciate all of my readers and I hope you still want to read my ramblings.

I like the way your background stays put and the rest of the blog floats over it.
That's great that you came to this conclusion. I didn't start blogging until lately so I have considered you a runner this whole time.
Ditto Heather. :)
Nice transition. :-)
Change is good! You seem to be doing so gracefully :)
proud of you!!! Have a great 4th!
I'm glad that you are moving past your weight. I know how you feel. It took me years before I would actually call myself a runner :)
Good for you and you're right, you are a runner!! Keep up the awesome work! :)
I am loving your diary! That is great that you are keeping track that way. Do you know anything about the DC National Marathon?
