I love my FR60

I am so excited that I calibrated the foot pod that goes with my Garmin FR60. Another blogger, DC Rainmaker, that I started to follow is really a technical "geek" (and I use the term geek in the most affectionate way). He has an amazing ability to turn all of the technical manuals into easy instructions for the average person. So I was able to use my Christmas present. And I figured out that mapmyrun.com is not as accurate as I had thought. In fact it was almost 1/2 mile off. That means something when you are running far. So I am excited.

Not sure how much running I will be doing today. I am such a wimp in the snow. I love the way it looks, but I am scared I am going to fall. I have weak ankles. I managed almost 4 miles on Monday and got another 3 in yesterday, but the snow we got last night kept the kids home from school today. Not sure they will ride their bikes in the snow. Maybe I could pull them like a horse in their sleds... now that would be a workout.

And Tricia is doing a giveaway for Oiselle Running Apparel which is an environmentally friendly company. Be sure to check out her blog.

Finally, I have some really exciting news... for me at least! I weighed myself yesterday morning and was 151.8. I am almost out of the 150s. I am so excited. I have been in the 150s and higher for the last 9 years. I am overwhelmed with joy and know that the difference this time is truly God! Praise God for loving me so much.

Jen ~ So glad you stopped by my blog. You look (and I bet feel) amazing! God works all kinds of miracles in our lives if we only allow Him too! How wonderful that the physical load you were carrying is gone. I hope that your journey in running allows you to rid yourself of the mental load also. I know I use my running time as a time to focus my thoughts and quiet my mind to truly listen. Something my busy life doesn't often provide.
I will look forward to following along with your journey!

Yay Jen for your fabulous milestone!!! So, I'm confused about a Garmin FR60, why does it have a foot pod? I've run with Garmin's for years now and currently have the Garmin forerunner 205 which I love. It's not the nicest they make and doesn't have a heart rate monitor but gives me distance, time, mile splits etc and is all I need. You'll have to tell me about what you are using. That technology IS fun motivation!!!

snow-running is tough! not only just being safe so you don't wipe out, but the footing is slippery and just makes it 10x harder. good luck if you do head out in it.

congrats on the weight loss!
