I'll settle for pavement. If you are just getting back to me, we got 3 feet of snow from Friday into Saturday. And now they are expecting that we will get 5 more inches on Tuesday and even more come Saturday. Did I mention I do not like the snow?
After digging out several silly people who thought they could drive in the unplowed streets, one in a Volvo, we finally got plowed around 2 am. Thank you Mr. Plowman... I know you did the best you could, but the 4 foot wall of snow at the end of the driveway forced hubby to dig a path out at 4am to go to work.
Riddle me... how do you run in this? It is a icy mess. And the snow is too deep to not run in the street. And the kids are off of school today and tomorrow. They cannot possibly ride their bikes in this mess (FYI: this is my trick when I have the kids to get my mileage in... put them on bikes and chase them - harder than you think)
As for reaching my goals from last week, I will give myself: C+. I did not get all of the mileage in due to the snow, but I did do all of the P90X workouts.
So with the impeding snow for this week (and the kids off of school until...), here are my goals:
Monday: P90X - Kenpo X
Tuesday: P90X - X Stretch; run 3-5 miles
Wednesday: P90X - Chest & Back, Ab Ripper X
Thursday: P90X - Plyometrics; run 3-5 miles
Friday: P90X - Shoulders & Arms, Ab Ripper X
Saturday: P90X - Yoga X (finish it); run 4-6 miles
Sunday: Rest
Also, since we do not have a door way for our pull-up bar, we are going to get a free standing one. Any suggestions? We need to get heavier weights as the bands are not hard enough so that is going to be another purchase.
And just maybe, I will make it to the bike store to get a bike - no hurry as it isn't like I can ride it anytime soon.

Wow you guys got hit with alot of snow, looks like my city :-)!
We are doing the classic version - this week is "recovery" week, should be interesting!
Ewe...that is bad. We got about 12" last night and I am not looking forward to the commute today....of course nothing is canceled. Where is spring???
Your goals are looking great for this week. I think I need to try the P90X.
This is when a treadmill is nice to have:)
Bike + trainer is what you need...it's worth it for times like these or when it's sub40!
I can't believe all the snow you got this weekend! Definitely no running in that.
Awesome job on the P90X workouts!
Snow and outdoor training do not mix well!
Great job on hanging tough with the P90x workouts!
That's alot of snow...I do treadmill on those days (at the gym, I don't have one at home).
Great job on the P90x workouts!!!
Best thing about p90x that you can do it at home so the weather doesn't matter! Hope you get thawed out soon!
Wowzer, did you get hit with the white stuff!! Great pictures, I know that getting a bunch of snow sucks but it is beautiful:)
Holy snow!!! Yikes... that doesn't look like too much fun.
I cannot wait until spring either!
Good goals for the week :]
Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting!
I hate that 4 foot wall of ice chunks and heavy snow that the plow deposits at the end of the driveway. Spring can't come soon enough, my driveway keeps get skinnier and skinner!
That is a crazy amount of snow!!! Geez! I can't imagine someone attempting to run in that!
Oh, you have great workouts planned for the week. I've thought about trying P90x but haven't yet. Can't wait to read what you think about it.
Congrats on your weight loss! Praise God, through Him we are MORE than conquerors!
wow! that is ALOT of snow. we are expecting 10-15 inches overnight. yuck! i think i will be going on the treadmill tomorrow. enjoy your time with the kids home :)
That is bananas. I am complaining that it's still not 70 degress here. I shall bite my tongue.
uggh that is gross! it keeps snowing here in kentucky but not this bad. i'm already about to pack up and move to florida and i don't have to shovel my way out to get there.
love how you bring the kids to get your miles in! that's awesome. hope you enjoyed a little break from running, keep up that p90x!, and extra time with the kiddos.
Great blog!! I feel your snow pain. How do you find P90X? I was thinking about trying it after my half next month.
That snow looks AWFUL!
Also wanted to let you know that your success is truly inspirational. I look forward to trying P90X once I get rid of 25 more lbs!!!!
No C- for you! You deserve higher! That's tough! It will melt!
