1 night to GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY. I have been sleeping well... I have been in bed by 8 and asleep by 9 (or shortly thereafter) all week long.

I just got back from my last 2 mile run (actually I ran 2.44 in 21:17) and I ran it a little too fast, but I did warm up and it felt great! It was so cold, but by the end... I was warm and ALIVE!

This morning I was thinking about the journey that has brought me to the Marine Corp Marathon. It has been amazing, overall. The journey had plenty of ups and downs:
  • meeting that stranger, Bob that cool morning
  • runs with temps in the high 90's
  • runs in the low 30s
  • runs in the rain
  • runs in the snow
  • treadmill falls
  • bruised tibia
  • ITB issues
  • hip issues
  • mental issues
I feel so blessed to be able to make it to the start line tomorrow. I am confident that I can do this as God has shown me the finish line (the internal joke is I do not know which side of the finish line I saw). I have my belt packed already... my outfit layed out, my throw away clothes, even gloves ready!

All I have to say is: "MCM, bring it!"

Just go out and LIVE IN THE MOMENT! I'm going to be up and thinking of you, and probably making everyone in my life miserable as I stalk you on the internet all morning. I'm so proud of you.

I am so excited about the 1 1/2 year journey you have been on to lose weight, get fit and get back into running. You have already WON so much. You have lost almost 75 lbs and now you will complete 26.1 miles. Remember God goes beyond, beyond, beyond are expectations. He has brought you this far and He NEVER lets us down. I am so proud of my twin. Maybe some day I can get myself in shape and run one with you. A girl can dream. I love you and will also be stalking you on-line.
