Tuesday Truths

Truth # 1

I have been delayed in writing today because I am pooped out. I have spent that last two evenings in interviews for the 2010 Gazette Healthy Challenge and boy the competition this is tough. I completely understand why it was so hard to pick the best people.... "who's life can we change the most" was our mental question.

I secretly want to steal all of the finalists that do not make the final cut and create my own "Loser" team and show the world that you do not need Medifast... or gym membership, or even personal trainers... all you really need is motivation and the will. I can motivate them and they have the will because they applied.

Truth # 2

I tried to get out and run after my son on his sister's bike... I know pathetic me. I need to buy him a bigger bike and just haven't yet. He was NOT thrilled to ride his sister's purple bike with white floral basket. In fact, we did .56 miles in 8 minutes. UGH! This was my go to way to get miles in when I did not have a sitter. At one point I was pushing him. Finally, he gave up and wanted to go to a friend's house. Thankfully, they were home and I enjoyed a nice cup of tea with a wonderful friend.

We decided to head home after an hour and I got another .35 in. Total distance was .86 miles in 11:43 minutes. Stinks - I know. Hubby is coming home late today, so I doubt I be able to get it in before dark.

Truth # 3

I fear that I have not lost any weight. As you know, I gave up my scale for Lent. My last weigh-in was under 150lbs, but now I am sabataging myself with negative thoughts. I won't be able to bring out that scale until after our cruise... but I pray that my efforts will be proven when I do step back on it.

Truth # 4

I feel blessed. I feel honored... and not worthy. Sarah at IronMakeover did an athlete profile of me. Thank you Sarah!!!! Check it out here.

Truth # 5

I love playing Superman with my children. Here is a recent stint. This was hours before I got so sick. We have so much fun and laugh so hard. And it is a great workout!!!!

Don't worry too much about that scale. Do the best you can. The cruise will definitely be a challenge, but have faith in yourself!

I wouldn't worry too much about the scale either! Just keep thinking positive, girl!
