Friday means long run tomorrow.

I finally ate my first full meal last night. I mean it is about time, right? I tried to eat full meals before, but my stomach just was NOT having it. I chowed down and it felt good. I still have not had a bowel (sorry... TMI) and it is worrying me.

I haven't run all week (since last Saturday). Hubby and I decided to restart P90X Week #6 last night since we had missed 4 days. It felt good to get back into the swing of things. I still wasn't 100% (maybe lack of meals), but I toughed it out. It was: Chest, Shoulders & Triceps and Ab Ripper X. I did not do all of it, but like Tony Horton says, "Do your best and forget the rest"!

I am still going to attempt my long run tomorrow. I am running to my church. I have to be there by 10am and it is 9.17 miles from my house - on a very hilly route. But I figure if I cannot run the whole thing, I surely can walk what I cannot run. (This is why not having a bowel yet worries me. I do not want to be on mile 6 in the middle of no where and have to go.") I bought some GU for this run last Sunday before I was sick. I might decide not to take it since I am unsure what this might do to my recovering stomach (like create the bowel I have been dreaming about). I will just feel my body out as I go.

The weather here has been AWESOME. I love spring.

Did I mention that we are going on a cruise for a week? My mother-in-law traded in her time share for us to go on a cruise (bonus she is coming with us). We are trying to figure out how to do P90X while we are on the cruise... or even exercise. Here is my question to my wonderful, faithful readers:

Can you exercise on the cruise? Have you done it? I am sure they have a weight room. What should we do about P90X? Bring it just in case... take a week off?

For all of you who are racing this weekend, let me know. I will pray specifically for you if I know who you are.

A cruise sounds like so much fun. I would probably take a week off of p90x, just so you don't have to stress about it.

Good luck on the long run!

Your cruise sounds wonderful! Are your kids going as well? I agree with taking a week off from P90X and enjoying the vacation. You can still workout but just use the fitness facility/gym on the cruise. When are you going?

Glad you are feeling better, good plan to take it easy on the run, it takes awhile to get full strength back. If you take the gu make sure you follow it with water. Can't wait to hear how the run goes! If you run past a gas station or fast food joint you could always use their RR's. :)

I hear cruise ships have awesome workout facilities. I agree with TMB and Kristin, take a vacay from p90x and enjoy yourself! I would be all about running on the deck, how many people can say they've run on the ocean? Okay, lots of people since it seems like everyone except me has been on a cruise but it's still cool. Have fun!

I've been on several cruises and have to say, most ships have amazing gyms/spas!! I'm going on a 9-day cruise in May and am actually excited about using the gym!! The treadmills have a view of the ocean and the sauna is just around the corner. :) Some ships even have outdoor running tracks. I would take a break from the P90X and enjoy the facilities on board. They even offer group classes while cruising! :) (I'll be doing the sunrise yoga...so relaxing!) Enjoy your cruise!!

Glad you are finally feeling better. Good luck tomorrow... don't push it too much.

Exciting news on the cruise! I'd probably leave p90x at home and get creative with workouts... laps around the boat? Swimming? Weight room?

Good luck with your long run tomorrow!

I have heard that many cruises are full equiped with gym equipment - bikes, treadmills, elliptical machines, etc. I know that some cruises also have rock climbing walls which is definitely a workout!

Sounds like a fun trip!

Glad you are starting to feel better! Good luck on your long run tomorrow; Saturdays are my long run days too, and I am going for 8 (my longest run ever so far!).

Glad to hear you're feeling better. I would definitely take it easy on your run tomorrow. Not eating/throwing up has probably put you in dehydration mode. So, just be careful out there tomorrow!

Sorry, I can't help you with the cruise info. I'm actually terrified of cruises! I hope you have a great time though!

My hubby and I love cruises! Thanks to my parents we've been on a few. On the last cruise I got a bunch of workouts in, and while in the club, was asked for help several times from other cruisers... they thought I was on staff. That was fun. :-)

I hope your run goes well!
