I had that issue once and ended up with nearly every toe being bruised from my heel sliding out of the heel box and allowing my toes to strike the front of the shoe. I didn't realize it on shorter runs and ended up wearing them on race day. Not fun! I usually only go up one size between regular shoes and running shoes but I think trial and error is key to figuring out (in each brand/style) what the right size really is. Oh and season will impact your foot's tendency to swell while running. Good Luck.

Of course you are tired. With so little body fat your fatigue a bit more quickly with all the training you are doing! I could never make it if I actually got my "extra" weight off! I'd say you are right on with little adjustments to your schedule.

WoooHoo! Love that you had such a great response to your running club. That's fantastic that the kids and their parents are intereted in being active. (Ok, the parents want the kids to be active but hopefully they will use that time to get off their tushies too!)Shellyrm ~ just a country runnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03822262051285512641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2383990574601855462.post-84862898956975327922011-09-16T11:48:50.808-04:002011-09-16T11:48:50.808-04:00Oh, the toes! I thought it sounded crazy, but I got my first blister once I pushed past 16 so I gave it a shot the next long run. Multiple long runs later and a few 20+'s and only one other blister! (all toenails still intact-bonus!)
The fun run sounds so SO awesome!
And yes, when you don't post, you are missed. :)Cateyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04313815726428345524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2383990574601855462.post-89118565822255784492011-09-16T09:10:43.034-04:002011-09-16T09:10:43.034-04:00Your poor feet. :( I am only down 2.75 toenails. ...Your poor feet. :( I am only down 2.75 toenails. Yeah. 2.75. LOL And I have only ever ran 13.1 once (working up to another in 2 weeks). My shoes seem to fit just fine but apparently I pull my toes up when I run? Weird. Anyway, I hope the blister issue and lack of toenails improves for you. I use to love wearing open toed shoes, now not.so.much!
I hope you also get some rest soon! Being tired is the worst feeling (I think).kimerthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12908561354210742485noreply@blogger.com
