Spring Cleaning- Master Bedroom

I know I am behind in posting and even working on this week's project. Being sick just really stinks. I am feeling better but I am still not able to eat normal. The kids are fine and PRAISE GOD, Lyle has still managed to escape this stomach bug!!!!

Here are the before pics of my Master Bedroom. Not sure how much I will be able to get done before tomorrow, might be a late night post, but I had in mind to do a lot.

Before I got sick, I wanted to strip the floral border around the ceiling, paint the walls and replace the curtains (all from previous owner and we have lived here since 2001). You can see holes in the wall that have been patched but never even sanded. I seem to collect books and made a pile to donate a year ago that still sits next to the window. My husband's desk is the cleanest it has been in YEARS but we have some shredding to do and a collection on envelops to recycle.

I got my work cut out for me. At the very minimal, I will just dust, clean, vacuum and wash the curtains.

Come back tomorrow to see what I was able to accomplish. Still time to join Sarah's challenge.

I just came upon your blog today. Praise God on your weight loss. I've attempted to loose weight many times...I succeeded once before but quickly put it back on...see my blog for more on that.

This time I've given it...like you...over to God and it is a lot easier!! I am amazed each week I get on that scale. In about a month I've lost 13 pounds!! Ladies in my support group keep asking me how I do it and I say...through the grace of God! Many of them smile, but some look at me like I've completely lost my mind.

You are an inspiration to me! My husband and I are preparing for minsitry and I know this is going to be the best days of our life.

I hope you are feeling all better now!

TO strip the wall paper with out chemicals, I have used I THINK straight vinegar in a spray bottle. If you go through and get the top layer of the border off, so you are left with the bottom layer that is stuck to your way. Then spray that bottom layer. I think it worked pretty well! Better than having the chemical smell...

I will pray that you are feeling up to par today! Thanks for linking up! :)

I'm so sorry you were sick and didn't get to do all the stuff you really wanted to, but I'm sure it will feel great to even just do a good thorough cleaning. I still have lots of work to do in my bedroom before the "after" pictures tomorrow, so I'm off to plug away at it! Good luck with getting some things done in your room too!

Hope you are feeling better. Good luck - when you are finished - feel free to head my way! I dislike painting, but love to think that I can do it!

Can't wait for the after pics!
